Is this life mistaken for a fairy tale?
No? Then where the hell am I? The power that other people can have over you is quite overwhelming, their influence, phrases, thoughts and decisions have the ability to heavily impact on your day to day life and this is quite normal.
But then someone comes along, somebody extra special who changes your perspective on not only yourself, but how others should see you. They have the ability to change your entire world, or in some cases, become your world.
You develop at the very least, a strong friendship and realise that they are worth more than all the minutes that you have ever lived. They make a difference, and give you a reason to get up in the morning. They bring a smile to your face when there has been no reason to smile, they brighten your life on the darkest day and continue to provide you with comfort when you need it the most.
These people are amongst the rarest on this planet, your lucky if you know one, you’re even luckier if you are fortunate enough to get close with one, because the chances of developing a solid relationship with them are so low, you’d have a better chance of winning the lottery several weeks in a row, or successfully acquiring that 0.1% epic drop in your favourite RPG.
I now know for a fact, that angels do actually exist.
Many people are awaiting the launch of Nokia’s brand new mobile phone, the Nokia N97. Nokia mobile phones are known for their stability and quality. Nokia leads the mobile phone industry and sets the benchmark for mobile phone standards in Australia.
The Nokia N97 comes equipped with a QWERTY keyboard and a touch screen as Nokia looks to successfully design a phone built for multimedia and internet enthusiast. Many fans are doing their best to patiently wait for the release of this beast. I expect quite a few sales on day one. It will also be interesting to see the sort of plans that come with the Nokia N97.
Just recently released by Nokia mobile phones was the Nokia N96 mobile phone which was a bit of a let down during its launch, its merely a replica of the N95 although many people say the camera isnt as good as the previous model. Nokia is also doing well with their new Nokia E63, which is a great budget business phone that still includes many great features that consumers look for when buying mobile phones. The Nokia E63 mobile phone also comes equipped with a qwerty keyboard and you review of that can be read here.
Ok, so another site that probably deserves a bit of time is wages.com.au. A new job search site that is great for Australians who are not only looking for a new job but are also looking for information on wages.
Thought it deserved a mention - so check it out!
Well, I havent posted here for a while - been busy moving to Sydney as most of you are aware. Thought I’d keep this blog updated with a post.
One of the people I work with, found a cartoon site recently with stacks of great cartoons by Bob Zahn. You can check out his website at - http://www.cartoonfile.net.
Scroll to the bottom and you’ll see a list of categories that his cartoons fall under. They’re all great drawings and you can tell Bob is a great cartoonist. My favourite is probably this one, from the womens category.
Bob has been a cartoonist for many years and I strongly recommend you visit his websites if you’re a cartoon fanatic!
One of Australia’s leading mobile phone websites (www.mobiles.com.au) has received a facelift and now provides stacks of information on mobile phones. The site has been placed onto a cleaner template and has a great design that is encouraging its visitors to compare and apply for mobile phone plans online.
A great addition to the site, is the new tool which allows you to find the ideal mobile phone plan. You can choose from a great range of suppliers including Telstra, Optus, 3 Mobile, AAPT & TPG. The search options also allow you to choose from either cap or post-paid plans. Its a great tool that can help you make an informed decision when you subscribe to a mobile phone plan. You can check out the tool and even apply online for your desired mobile plan with ease here - http://www.mobiles.com.au/mobile-phone-plans/.
Apart from adding the mobile phone plan comparison tool, there is also a team dedicated to writing great reviews on the latest mobile phones. Right now there are three reviews up, one of the Nokia E63, the DUALSIM Slider & the Nokia N96.
The website is a great resource for anyone looking for specs on mobile phones or mobile plan help.

Surprisingly there’s quite a few people who visit my blog now, thanks to all of you who offer kind comments and actively return.
It’s no secret to many of you that I work on many websites as part of the business I work for. I was hoping I could get some feedback of some of them.
Generally speaking, if you typed in ‘compare mobiles‘ into Google, what sort of results would you expect? What would you expect from the websites Google spits out? Would you be looking for a way to select the mobile phones you are interested in or a massive table that lists all the features, benefits and cons of each handset?
On particular pages that are about mobile phone plans and mobile phone service providers eg: Soul Mobile, do you expect to see comparison tables that allow you to compare various plans or is information about plans and providers enough?
And finally, would you ever bother reading the Mobile Phone History page or is it a page majority of you aren’t particularly interested in? I see it generally as one of our less important pages, but would like to hear other peoples thoughts on the matter.
Anyone who would like to contribute is welcome to as their suggestions will be taken into consideration.
Christmas is vastly approaching, and within 6 weeks it’ll all be over and we’ll be celebrating a brand new year. If you’re lost for ideas on Christmas presents, a mobile phone might be a nice gift. I tear around with my Nokia N95i (The Black, 8GB Model) and I have to say it’s been the best phone I have ever had.
I’ve had no issues at all with it, im tied to a 2 year contract on a $100 cap that offers $800 worth of calls and texts as well as an additional $210 worth of free calls to anyone who is on the same network I am. So it’s safe to say my mobile phone gets a bashing.
I don’t use the 3G functionality of the phone all that much, but its still nice to have access to GPS and the Internet when I end up lost in the middle of nowhere.
If you are looking for a mobile phone, as a present or simply for personal use, you should check out CheapMobiles.com.au. They have stacks of information on hundreds of phones that will most definitely be of use to anyone in the market for a new phone.
Channel 7 have completely removed Prison Break from their Thursday night lineup - Which is an absolute disgrace. The whole strategy that Channel 7 has been using to air the show is absolutely appaling.
Their initial strategy involved showing Prison Break at a 10:30pm timeslot - which is atrocious to begin with. Then today, they decided to totally remove the show all together stating the show will be rebroadcast at the end of November until the ‘ratings period’ is over. The ratings period? Excuse me Channel 7?
It seems common knowledge to me, that if you broadcast any TV show at a 10:30pm time slot - the ratings are going to be average. If you wanted good ratings, you simply could have put the show on at 8:30pm instead. You could have easily switched The Amazing Race with Prison Break. Had you done this - I dare say you would have received more ratings during your 8:30 - 9:30 time slot, than you are currently with The Amazing Race.
This is only the tip of the iceberg though. The program was then scheduled to air tonight at an extra delayed time of 11pm. I wasn’t happy about this. Infact, I think it will be difficult to find anyone who welcomed this change, but then you took it one step further by totally removing the show all together. You aren’t even going to show it tonight.
This is a real slap in the face for all of us who have already stayed up late every Thursday night because of your rediculous time slot in order to watch the show, clearly showing how dedicated we are to the program. Then you completely remove the show from your lineup all together, forcing your viewers to wait 3 weeks before we get to see another episode.
There are people who wait for you to show it, people who don’t download it out of respect for Prison Breaks cast, crew and all the people who work hard to make each episode as brilliant as it is. But now - thanks to your decision to remove the show - some of us are forced to download episodes because waiting three weeks to see the next is a wait that is too long.
I only have one last suggestion for you Channel 7 -
Hire a brainless weasel to choose your programs time slots. It’ll do a better job.
There is an online petition doing the rounds to bring Prison Break back & to put in at a decent timeslot. You can sign the petition here - http://www.gopetition.com.au/petitions/channel-7-prison-break/signatures.html
